Fire up that grill! Our June recipe is: Kidney Friendly Honey-Garlic Kebabs.

Ingredients
Makes 15 servings

Marinade:

  • 1/4 c olive oil
  • 1/3 c honey
  • 1/4 c Bragg’s Liquid Aminos
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed

Kebabs:

  • 4 medium chicken breasts
  • 4 small onions
  • 3 medium bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Mix all marinade ingredients together in a plastic bag.
  2. Add chicken (or prepared kebabs) to marinate at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight in refrigerator.
  3. Use marinade to baste kabobs during first 5 minutes of cooking.

Notes

Tip: Make a big batch of this marinade and freeze in ice cube trays or in a zip-top bag laid flat to freeze. Then simply defrost it together with your proteins of choice. To do so, place frozen protein in a glass container with the frozen marinade on top. As they thaw, the marinade will melt and coat the protein, infusing it with flavor.
